SIL is the paid supports that the NDIS fund in your plan to provide you with assistance with everyday living and daily tasks. The focus is on helping you to live as independently as possible and at the same time helping you to reach your goals. Quite often this accommodation is in a shared living arrangement, however, this is not always the case.
We understand that your needs are unique and we will work with you to ensure that your individual needs are met. Each one of our SIL houses is different everybody’s requirements for housing and supports are different. If you are going to be sharing with others, we will work hard to make sure that we get to know you so that we can understand your interests, skills, goals and likes and dislikes. If you are going to be sharing then we need to make sure there is a good match for both you and your future housemates.
Mpower You successfully provide SIL in the local community and already assist with:
- Cooking
- Helping to attend medical and other appointments
- Shopping
- Budgeting
- Travel
- Medication Management
SIL can take time to organise as it’s important that we get right accommodation for you. This might mean that time is spent on finding the right people for you to live with, locating the right property to call your home and helping you to transition from your current housing.
